Born in La Guaira on July 18, he learned to play the cuatro at the age of six under the guidance of his father, who, in turn, plays multiple instruments, including the mandolin, bandola, harp, violin, and others. At ten years old, he began studying at the Pablo Castellanos music school, where he studied musical language. From a young age, he joined various folk groups in La Guaira, notably the group Paguara, which appeared on Venevisión programs such as Buenos Días Venezuela and in a scene from the telenovela Viernes Negro, as well as the show Almorzando con Orlando.
Later, his parents moved to the state of Aragua (La Victoria), where he met maestro Jaime Álvarez (a harpist), who became his tutor and mentor, introducing him to the llanero genre.
